Lindsey Reif, forever a small-town girl at heart, uprooted from her South Dakota home in 2002 when the hum of city life drew her to Portland, Oregon. It’s here she established REIF, the eponymous clothing line founded on functionality and diachronic designs and nurtured into an acknowledgement the cityscape’s dependency on nature. Drawing from the indigenous landscape of The Black Hills, REIF fosters a love for shifting seasons as well as the everlasting appeal of artisan craftsmanship. Each season, REIF’s life-long love of vintage fashion inspires a collection that is both modern and timeless, fusing elements from eras past with silhouettes and textiles that are relevant in fashion today. REIF garments are produced in Portland, Oregon, employing sustainable business practices and materials whenever possible and cultivating the local fashion industry. Since it’s debut collection in 2008, REIF has quickly become a go-to brand for stylists, appearing in editorials, film, and music videos. Lindsey’s work as a designer led her to the entertainment industry, where she works as a character fabricator for stop motion animation. When she manages to have a moment of free time, Lindsey can be found thrifting, spending time with her Persian kitten, Ramona, and working on a new line of housewares and accessories. press mentions
